Itinerary
Day 1 - Day 1: Chagang Sobraga
Tsagaan Sobraga, called the Grand Canyon of Mongolia, means “white pagoda” in Mongolian. Originally a sea, it is a Paleozoic sedimentary layer about 40m high that was uplifted by geological activity, and is about 70km in size and boasts a natural landscape that has been eroded by wind over a long period of time.
Day 2 - Day 2: Yolingam
Yolinam means 'eagle's beak'. It is a dry and high temperature climate in the Gobi Desert region, but because it is a valley, the temperature is low and there are places that are always shaded, so it is famous for being a place where the ice does not melt.
Day 3 - Day 3: Hongorin Els (Gobi Desert)
It is the main desert of the Gobi Desert, one of the three largest deserts in the world (the Sahara, the Atacama, and the Gobi), which is about 300m high, 15km wide, and 180km long. It was selected as one of the “1,000 Places to See Before You Die” by the Washington Post, and is also famous as one of the world’s three largest stargazing spots.
Day 4 - Day 4: Bayangjak
If we look at the meaning of Bayanzak, the Mongolian word Bayan means many or abundant, and zag refers to the tree called “saxaul”, which is native to Central Asia. If we break it down, it means “abundant saxaul tree”, and it is especially abundant in the Gobi Desert.
Day 5 - Day 5: Bagagazrincholo
Meaning ‘small place rock’, Gazling Chol is a stunning granite rock formation rising from the dusty plains. Widely distributed throughout the surrounding area, it stands at 1,768m above sea level, but considering Mongolia’s average altitude is 1,600m, it doesn’t feel that high.
Day 6 - Day 6: Ulaanbaatar
Our tour will end in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
